This page explains how to control and move the Audiocube camera - your viewpoint in the virtual space.
The camera can be moved in two ways:
Keyboard and mouse controls
On-screen user interface controls.
On-Screen Camera Controls
A range of on-screen camera controls, give you full control over the camera’s position and angle - using your mouse, or a touch screen.
Camera Gizmo - Click and drag to rotate the camera angle. Click a cone to snap to the x/y/z angle. Click the central cube to switch between perspective and orthographic (2D) mode.
Camera Angle - Drag to aim the camera.
Camera Position - Drag to move the position forward/backward/left/right.
Camera Height - Drag to raise/lower the camera.
Audio Range Editor - Toggles the range editor mode (view the chapter for more detail).
Keyboard & Mouse Camera Controls
The camera can be fully controlled using the mouse and keyboard.
Position: Use the [W/A/S/D or arrow keys] to move the camera forward, backward, left, and right. [Right-click and drag] to move the camera in the desired direction. Alternatively, [left-click and drag] on the floor to adjust the camera position.
Height: [Scrollwheel up/down] to change the camera height. Use the [R key to raise] the camera and the [F key to lower] it.
Rotation: Rotate the camera left or right with the [Q and E keys]. Rotate the camera up or down with the [Z and X keys].
Free Look: Hold the [V key] or hold the [middle mouse button] to enable free camera rotation when moving the mouse.
ALT mode:
Holding the [ALT key] modifies the camera movement. While holding alt, the camera locks onto the currently selected device.
[ALT + Scroll] = Zoom in/out of the selected device.
[ALT + V + Move Mouse] or [ALT + Middle Mouse] = Orbit the selected object
